Meet The Baker

Hi there! I’m Mollie — a Cottage Certified home baker based in Victoria, Minnesota. I have loved baking for as long as I can remember, and I’m thrilled to be able to spread the love with others one cookie at a time.

When I’m not baking, you can find me wrangling my toddlers, squeezing in some time with my husband, testing out a new coffee shop nearby, planning my next adventure or hanging out by one of our amazing lakes.

I can’t wait to make each of life’s moments even more special for you with custom cookies.

Why Smør Cookies?

Decorating cookies is a true labor of love, and I work to infuse thought and care into every aspect of your order. You can rest assured that I'm doing everything I can to bring your vision to life.

The name smør — Norwegian for butter — pays homage to Minnesota's Nordic roots. More than that, it reflects the Norwegian values that are also intrinsic to me.

Dugnad

A tradition of helping others, traditionally with tasks like spring cleaning, building and gardening.

Friluftsliv

A love of the outdoors, which translates to "life in nature"

Per-dozen prices listed. We require a one dozen minimum per order and kindly request 2 weeks advance notice.

Fysen - up to 4 colors, 3 designs, Simple Details

Norwegians use the word Fysen when they have a craving for something, but are not sure exactly what. It's usually something to eat, and it's often something that's not very healthy.

Lillelørdag - Up to 6 colors, up to 5 designs, intermediate details

Norwegians celebrate hump day by having a pre-weekend cheat day called Lillelørdag. It's really an excuse for throwing a little party or indulging with a treat in the middle of the week.

Eventyrlysten describes people who are always ready for an adventurous experience. But it doesn't have to involve danger and risks - it can also mean that you have a desire to try something new or travel to a unique place.
